Return To 'Uncle of the Bride'

‘Uncle of the Bride’ represents such a turning point in Last of the Summer Wine’s history, we felt it was only proper to take another trip down to Holmfirth to document its many locations. Three trips and almost two years later, we finally cobbled together a location report!

Hello guys, really enjoyed the trip around Holmfirth and environs, I love all things Yorkshire and have been to those places you were in many times, your review was really enjoyable and humorous, so thanks, yours, Owen.

I saw you lads last night on northern news I was chuffed to think that lads as young as you two are mad on the show, I find it to be a really feel good comedy, I have the whole lot too, have I read it wrong, it did not take you 7 years to watch the lot, or did that mean all the research, well done lads and if by some lucky chance I make it to The Fringe, I will defiantly look in on you two. All The Best From.

As youing as us! Aw, I’ll take the compliment, Barbara-Ann. Thanks so much! We’ve been watching the show in order for the last seven years, but it’s still an ongoing quest… we move VERY slowly! Be lovely to see you at the Fringe, come and say hello if you make it.

Watching the show is easy; it’s writing the reviews is what takes so much time – we’re just a bit workshy!
